Joining the faculty in August 2004, Ming-Jye Huang is Professor of Law at the Graduate Institute of Interdisciplinary Legal Studies, College of Law, NTU. He has written extensively on legal issues ranging from corporate governance to corporate finance and from competition law to intellectual property law. He is the author of four books, titled Corporation Law and Corporate Governance (2001), Theory and Practice of Fair Trade Law (2002), The Interface of Competition Law and Intellectual Property Law (2006), and The Challenge and Innovation of Corporation Law (2006). Professor Huang’s recent works have focused on the modernization of corporate governance in Taiwan, the interaction between competition law and intellectual property law in the medical and pharmaceutical industry, and the commoditization of intellectual property. He is currently researching on the functions and liabilities of directors in Taiwan’s corporate law, the interaction of competition law and intellectual property law in the area of standards, and legal issues surrounding the securitization of corporate assets. Professor Huang teaches Economic Jurisprudence, Fair Trade Law, Company Law, and Seminar on competition law and intellectual property law.
