 Nai-Yi Sun is a professor at the College of Law, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. She holds a BA and MS of law from National Taiwan University, and a LLM and PhD of Law from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg in Germany. Before studying abroad, she had practiced as attorney at law at the famous law firm in Taiwan named “Formosa Transnational Attorneys at Law”.

She specializes in constitutional law, administrative law, social security law and disability law. She has participated in the establishment of the Taiwan Social Law and Social Policy Society in 2014 and was elected as the first board of directors of this society from2014 to 2016. During her term of office, she has co-edited the first text book of social law in Taiwan with the core members of the Society. Prof. Sun’s scholarly peer reviewed essays concentrate on the issues of health care reform and pension reform in Taiwan, the constitutional and administrative law issues of the welfare state and the human rights of persons with disabilities. In recent years she discusses actively with the NGOs about the legal issues of implementation of convention of rights for persons with disabilities (CRPD), and co-edited with Prof. Fu-te Liao the book of CRPD commentary.
