Professor Ming-Yan Shieh graduated from National Taiwan University with both a Bachelor and Master degree in Law. He also received a Doctorate of Law degree from the Munich University, Germany in 1990.  Since then, he has been a professor of law at the National Taiwan University.  He is also a member of the Advisory Committee of Intellectual Property Office in Taiwan. Professor Shieh’s specialties include Intellectual Property Rights Law, Fair Trade Law, Internet Law and Civil Law.  Over the years, he has published a total of eight books as well as over fifty articles in various journals.
