Associate Professor Jaw-Perng Wang graduated from National Taiwan University, Department of law in 1985. He got his first LL.M. degree from Columbia University in 1992, and the second one from the University of Chicago in 1993.  In December 1995, he obtained the S.J.D. at the University of Chicago.

He was admitted to both Taiwan and New York Bar Associations.  Before going to Columbia Law School, he practiced law in Taiwan for about three years.  In 2000, he was a visiting scholar at Tokyo University in Japan.  From 2003 to now, he is a member of the Committee on Reviewing the Lawyer’s Discipline Decision.

He published more than 40 articles, and wrote four books regarding criminal justice system.  At National Taiwan University, he has taught the following courses: Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Rules of Evidence, Forensic Medicine, American Criminal Law, American Criminal Procedure, Police in Administrative Law and Criminal Justice, The Criminal Defendant’s Constitutional Rights.
