Review Process
|
|
Prior to the review process, the names of the authors will be removed from the reviewers and the members of the Senior Committee Members and the Committee Members, so as to ensure fairness and non-discrimination. The review process by the Committee Members will take approximately two (2) weeks to complete, followed by the two (2)-week review of the Senior Committee Members, and then two (2)-week editing works by selected student editors. Once the primary review process is completed, the Editorial Committee will notify the authors of the acceptance of the manuscripts. It will suggest the authors to follow the reviewers' advices, and comment or follow the student editors' suggestions or comments. These authors are provided with two-week time frame of the receipt of the firstly edited manuscripts, to consider the reviewers' advices, comment or follow the student editors' suggestions or comments, and modify their manuscripts (where it is appropriate and necessary). Addressing the comments in their manuscripts through the use of the tracing system (Reviewing) of the Microsoft Word, is necessary. These authors are required to make a list of changes they have made in response to the reviewers' comments or suggestions. Indication of page numbers where new changes are made in the reviewed manuscripts is also necessary. They are then required to email the modified version back to the AJWH for the second review process.
The second review process will normally take one to two weeks, depending on the scope of modification of the manuscripts. Once the review process is completed, the Editorial Committee will email the final edited works back to the original authors and confirm with their approval for publication.
The AJWH will not guarantee publication in a particular issue. Manuscripts that are accepted for publication will be placed in the inventory and be published at the earliest possible issue. Relevance to the current issue is also taken into consideration. Once a manuscript is accepted for publication in the AJWH, publication of the same manuscript or any part of it elsewhere must obtain the consent from the Editorial Committee.
The AJWH retains copyrights and possessions of all manuscripts that are accepted for publication.
Authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication will receive one complimentary copy of the issue in which their articles appear.
