| In addition to its prestigious academic performance, the ACWH has also successfully established the regional network in the Asia-Pacific region. Based on its experience at holding international conferences, resource persons in the Asia-Pacific region, including specialists from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Philippine, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Malaysia participate in this regional network. Since the AJWH focuses on Asian perspectives of WTO affairs and research, plenty of well-known Asian scholars have contributed their research articles; this phenomenon also shows that the ACWH has a respected regional characteristic. Furthermore, the ACWH not only has the latest WTO panelist Dean Chang-fa Lo as our director, but also has invited the preeminent Asian WTO authority, Professors Mitsuo Matsushita, Enrst-Ulrich Petersmann, David Fidler and Ambassador Supperamaniam Manickam as our members of editorial committee. The ACWH team is supported by the above-mentioned four distinguished scholars who currently serve as the Editorial Committee members of the AJWH and attend the ACWH’s Senior Committee which convenes annually in Taiwan. All of them have been invited several times by Taiwan's governmental organs, universities, and research institutions to participate in seminars or give speeches. Their dedication and outstanding accomplishments are recognized not only by people in Taiwan but by all the WTO community. With this rich network, the ACWH enjoys a network of international exchange and achievement greater than other national institutions specializing in the study of WTO related issues. |
